Integrated Stripe payments, built two Express + PostgreSQL REST APIs handling 10,000 requests per day, and refactored 10+ legacy class components.
Two-month internship focused on payment reliability and code health. I integrated Stripe into the existing React Native codebase using the official SDK, which improved payment reliability by 5% across the platform.
On the backend side I built two REST APIs with Express and PostgreSQL that handle 10,000 requests per day. Both APIs validate input at the boundary and return structured error responses, so the mobile client never has to handle ambiguous failure shapes.
I also refactored 10+ legacy class components into reusable functional components. The PRs went through structured code review with senior engineers, which is where most of the learning happened.
