Matasha

Matasha is a geo-based flooring marketplace that connects UK homeowners needing flooring work with local flooring suppliers and fitters. Customers post detailed flooring enquiries — type, square meters, rooms, colours, budget, property address with map picker — and nearby subscribed suppliers within a configurable radius (default 30 miles, geohash-based) claim reply slots to provide quotes. The platform manages the full job lifecycle: enquiry creation, supplier matching, slot claiming, job awarding, in-app chat with image support, dual-confirmation job completion, and post-job ratings.

The mobile app is React Native 0.81 on Expo SDK 54, with Expo Router 6 for file-based routing, react-native-maps for the geohash picker, and Stripe for subscriptions. The backend is Firebase Cloud Functions on Node 22 with Cloud Firestore, Firebase Auth, and Cloud Storage. Push notifications route through Expo + FCM + APNs; email is Brevo transactional. Offline support queues customer actions and replays them on reconnect.

Matasha is live in the UK App Store and Google Play. An admin panel handles supplier approval, abuse reports, Stripe pricing configuration, and per-county slot caps. Per-customer rate limiting is enforced with atomic counters (3 enquiries per month).
