Project Manager is a Kanban-style project management app built for small teams that want boards without the noise of a Jira install. The frontend is React 19 with a drag-and-drop board (no third-party DnD library — a small custom hook on top of the native pointer events). The backend is Express 5 on Bun with MongoDB, and role-based access control is enforced at the route level.
Multi-user delegation is the part that mattered most in design: a card can be assigned to a user, or delegated to a user with a due date, with the original owner kept in the loop. The delegation event is a first-class entity (not a string field on the card) so the timeline of who owned what and when is auditable.
The board is a virtualised list, so a project with 5,000 cards still scrolls at 60fps on a mid-range laptop.
